artist statement

1. For each image, explain how you translated the ideas and details of your argument and evidence into a visual image. What choices did you have to make? Explain the effect you wanted to have on the audience and which specific artistic choices you made to achieve that effect. I searched images on the internet that illustrated my argument. i looked up pictures of voting ballads, election fraud, etc.

2. Discuss the specific photoshop techniques you used to create your image. Talk about layer masking, adjustment layers, and tricky selecting specifically. adjusting layers was the most confusing part for me. i also had to do some cropping.

3. Discuss the process of choosing images to represent ideas from your arguments. Discuss how you arranged images in your collage to maximize their impact on your audience. honestly, i just arranged them however.

4. How did you express the moods and feelings related to your topic? What in your image shows how you feel (or how we should feel) about your argument? by using pictures of a man counting ballads with a very confused expression on his face.
